The Electrophysiology Technologist I acts as a critical member of the patient care team within the department, collaborates fully with the other care team members in assuring continuity of care for their patients. The Electrophysiology Technologist I promotes a philosophy of patient / family-focused care in all interactions with patients, families, and hospital personnel and focus on understanding and meeting customer needs

Qualifications

Educated and certified in one of the following ways :

a. Graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology or related field

b. Graduated with an Associates Degree from an accredited School of Cardiovascular Technology

c. Graduated with an Associates Degree from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology certified by the ARRT, and possess a valid license to practice as a radiologic technologist in the state of Massachusetts.

2. Completion of BLS and ACLS certification within 3 months of employment preferred; within 6 months required.

3. Minimum three years of interventional experience preferred.

4. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCES) preferred.

5. No documented corrective action over the last year of employment.

6. Experience with precepting new employee(s) on at least one occasion preferred.
