Key Responsibilities of the Travel CVOR First Assist

Assist surgeons during cardiovascular and thoracic procedures with precision and efficiency

Prepare and maintain the CVOR suite and surgical instruments

Monitor patients and assist with hemostasis, suturing, and tissue handling

Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records

Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes

Requirements of the Travel CVOR First Assist

Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) or equivalent certification (required)

BLS and ACLS certifications (required)

2+ years of experience in cardiovascular or thoracic surgical assistance

Strong knowledge of surgical protocols, patient safety, and operative procedures
