Controller

We are seeking a Controller in the Eldersburg, Maryland area that oversees the daily operations of the finance and accounting department. The Controller is responsible for timely financial performance reporting, annual audit oversight, planning, implementing, managing, budgeting and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. The Controller will report directly to the CEO and will coordinate with the board on all operational and strategic issues as they arise; provide strategic recommendations based on financial analysis and projections; cost identification and allocation, and revenue / expense analysis.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee budgeting and the implementation of budgets to monitor progress and present operational metrics both internally and externally.
• Serve as the liaison with third parties and ensure the necessary technological tools and resources are implemented and managed.
• Monitor project charges, cost of completion, new charge codes and closed charge codes.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.
• Establish effective internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
• Proposes long-range, strategic financial plans, including cash flow projections.
• Establish appropriate financial performance metrics and report monthly on trends.
• Responsible for competitively pricing future business pursuits / proposals.

Qualifications :

$160,000 - $180,000 a year
