Staff Attorney

Feldman, Kramer & Monaco is currently seeking several experienced attorneys to join our established Firm. The position entails answering legal questions and offering legal advice over the telephone in our Hauppauge, NY office.

Responsibilities:

• Within the Legal Counsel Team manage incoming calls
• Identify and assess customer's legal issue and document our proprietary software
• Review documents on behalf of clients
• Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law
• Go the extra mile to engage customers and build a telephone relationship

Job Requirements:

• Juris Doctor Degree plus NY state bar admission prior to 2022.
• Excellent research, writing and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong customer service and personal service orientation
• Ability to build rapport with clients and work in a collaborative atmosphere
• Ability to ask pertinent questions, actively listen to answers and synthesize information in order to formulate advice based on sound judgement and strong knowledge of the law and legal precedence
• Ability to keep client and Firm matters confidential

Job Description

We are looking for a full-time attorney to offer legal advice to individuals over the telephone. No case load. Must have been admitted to the NY Bar prior to 2022 and be in good standing. Retirees are welcome!
