Location/Schedule: This role is based at our Salt Lake City Headquarters with a 4-day in-office hybrid schedule.
Position Summary & Day-to-Day Responsibilities:The Buyer manages the full purchasing process—from creating purchase orders to tracking delivery timelines—while supporting vendor onboarding, compliance, and procurement reporting.
- Manage end-to-end purchasing, ensuring product delivery aligns with business needs.
- Create and process purchase orders according to approved vendor agreements.
- Monitor order status, delivery confirmations, and timelines; proactively communicate updates to stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including vendor information, POs, savings data, and documentation.
- Support Procurement Managers with vendor onboarding/offboarding and system updates.
- Maintain and track Certificates of Insurance (COIs) to ensure vendor compliance.
- Assist with compiling procurement reports and tracking departmental metrics.
- Partner with Procurement Managers on supplier performance tracking and issue resolution.
- Participate in process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and service levels.
- Build procurement knowledge through training and guidance from Procurement Managers.
You’ll be a great fit for this adventure if you have:- 1+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement operations, supply chain, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and vendors.
- A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Bonus points if you also bring:- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Experience with procurement systems or workflow/project management tools (such as Monday.com).
- Exposure to vendor compliance, onboarding processes, or COI tracking.
Compensation & BenefitsPay Range: $51,750–$63,125 + DOE and Bonus OpportunitiesThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
