Job description

This is a full-time hybrid (North Chicago) opportunity with our Fortune 500 corporate client!

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Corporate Risk & Compliance Paralegal / Legal Specialist to support our legal and governance teams in managing corporate risk assessments, compliance documentation, and regulatory initiatives. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our organization's risk management practices align with internal policies and external legal and regulatory standards.

We are actively seeking a Corporate Risk & Compliance Paralegal / Legal Specialist located in the North Chicago or Milwaukee, WI area with the following qualifications :

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal or legal specialist, focusing on Information Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, or equivalent.
  • Must have 2+ years experience in the pharmaceutical, clinical, or medical device industry.
  • Solid foundation in legal compliance and risk documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with compliance or document management systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and solve complex problems.
  • Familiarity with data governance, privacy regulations, and information security principles is a plus.
  • Willingness to support a hybrid role requiring three days onsite in North Chicago-based office.
  • Bachelor's degree in science, technology, law, ethics, compliance, risk management, or other.

Support our multinational corporate client on the following :

  • Join our client's team to assist in the development, maintenance, and execution of corporate risk assessment procedures and compliance programs.
  • Monitor and update risk documentation in accordance with internal governance policies and applicable federal, state, and international regulations.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely submission and tracking of compliance-related documentation and action items.
  • Prepare and maintain risk and compliance reports, including metrics dashboards, audit summaries, and regulatory filings.
  • Support internal audits, investigations, and exception event resolution (e.g., complaints, non-conformances).
  • Provide training and guidance on governance and compliance procedures to internal teams.
  • Collaborate with legal, compliance, and operational teams to ensure alignment across risk management and governance functions.
  • Maintain organized records and ensure document integrity within compliance systems.
  • Stay informed on evolving legal and regulatory requirements related to corporate governance and risk.
