Referral Specialist

A company is looking for a Referral Specialist who will manage incoming electronic faxes and referrals in a remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

Sort and process incoming electronic faxes, including clinical documents and medical records

Schedule referrals and manage related documentation using various healthcare programs

Act as a liaison between departments, outside companies, provider offices, and patients

Required Qualifications

Experience in a medical office environment or completion of a healthcare training program preferred

High School Diploma or equivalent GED; or 1-3 months of related healthcare experience

Strong understanding of medical insurance, prior authorizations, and HMO plans

Ability to multitask using multiple electronic clinical programs and websites

Exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail
