Vice President, Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis
We are seeking a Vice President to join our Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis (FRRA) team. Our team is responsible for the design, implementation and execution of end-to-end processes supporting U.S. Regulatory Reporting including Consolidated, Capital, Standalone and CCAR / DFAST / ICAAP reporting, along with Regulatory Reporting training and regulatory exam management. Additionally, FRRA drives broader strategic initiatives across external reporting including accountability, error and issue management, manual adjustments, variance analysis, quality assurance and the target U.S. Regulatory Reporting platform.
As an External Reporting Controller Vice President within the Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis team, your primary responsibilities will involve overseeing multiple aspects of the production and review of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports filed with various regulatory agencies.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 5-10 with multiple priorities and deliverables under tight timelines
- Identify gaps in current reporting processes and lead the implementation of new controls and strategic solutions to ensure the integrity of reported financial results
- Lead strategic initiatives and ongoing improvements in reporting processes
- Establish and manage relationships, partnerships and dialogue with a variety of stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization
- Maintain familiarity with accounting pronouncements and disclosure requirements. Participate in firm wide project groups to implement changes in reporting requirements
- Work extended hours during peak periods including some weekends
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
8+ years total relevant work experience in External Reporting (SEC reporting / Reg Reporting)Prior experience with team management requiredDemonstrable understanding of financial statements and financial disclosures requiredBachelors Degree requiredExcellent communication skills, both written and oralComfortable working with large quantities of data, including strong reconciliation and process management experienceStrong technical skills in ExcelStrong analytical skills in interpretation of data and identification of anomaliesIndependent worker who is self-motivated; comfortable working independently in a dynamic and challenging environmentResults-oriented / delivery focused; ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlinesPreferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Accounting or Finance degree preferredAccounting or banking industry experience preferredFamiliarity with US Banking regulatory reporting requirements a plusExperience using data management & visualization tools in a reporting setting : AWS Databricks, Alteryx, SQL, Tableau, VisioDatabase experienceFamiliarity with JP Morgan's Corporate Financial Architecture (SAP, Smartview, CDGL) a plusCPA / Big 4 Experience a plus
