ER RN Travel Job Details Location : Springfield, IL 62781 (Illinois nursing jobs) Estimated Weekly Pay : $1950-$2000 Assignment Length : 13-week travel nurse contract Start Date : November 17, 2025 End Date : February 16, 2026 Shift : Mid 4x12-Hour (15 : 00 - 03 : 30) Hours per Week : 36 Unit : Emergency Department (56 beds, average daily census 175) Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Charting System : Cerner EMR Parking : Free with permit ER Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility to apply Minimum 18 months of recent Emergency Room RN experience (adult and pediatric ER experience preferred) Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (AHA or Red Cross only) Proficiency with Cerner electronic charting Experience in Level I or II Trauma Center strongly preferred Ability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during assignment Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted) Prompt completion of compliance and orientation requirements ER Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care to patients of all ages Perform triage, assessment, and interventions for trauma, cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, pediatric, psychiatric, and respiratory emergencies Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias, obtain and interpret 12-lead EKGs, and administer emergency medications Initiate and manage IV therapy, blood product transfusions, and procedural sedation Apply and manage splints, chest tubes, and other emergency interventions Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and social services Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR Follow infection control protocols, isolation precautions, and hospital policies Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training Discover your next travel nursing opportunity in Springfield, Illinois—a city known for its thriving arts scene, beautiful parks, and friendly Midwestern atmosphere.
