CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing Department Technician) is encouraged within 18 months of hire. Must-Have : BLS certification, experience in sterile processing Description : Under the supervision of the sterile processing supervisor, the technician is responsible for performing duties related to the basic functions of the department. The technician must follow hospital policies and procedures. Properly clean and prepare instrumentation for sterilization. Transport soiled and sterile instruments to the operating room area. Maintain competency in sterile processing processes. Maintain good communication with co-workers and the supervisor. Other duties as assigned by the sterile processing department supervisor, charge technician, or director. Holiday coverage is required.
