• Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled

• .NET Developer
• to design, build, and maintain applications using Microsoft’s .NET framework, SQL Server, DevExpress components, and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) integrations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing scalable, reliable, and user-friendly healthcare applications, with a critical focus on HIPAA compliance, data privacy, and cybersecurity best practices.
• Key Responsibilities :
• Develop, test, and deploy .NET applications (Web Forms, MVC, and Console Apps), ensuring security, scalability, maintainability, and HIPAA compliance.
• Design intuitive and responsive user interfaces using DevExpress controls and components, maintaining secure client-server communication and access control.
• Maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot existing .NET applications and integrations, applying security patches and HIPAA-compliant data protections.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into secure, compliant, and technically sound solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and secure code following HIPAA, OWASP, and organizational coding standards for protecting PHI.
• Conduct code reviews and participate in risk assessments to prevent unauthorized access, data breaches, or vulnerabilities.
• Design, implement, and maintain EDI integrations that support secure and compliant exchange of healthcare and business documents (e.g., eligibility, claims, remittance, and encounter files).
• Monitor and protect EDI transaction workflows, ensuring proper encryption, authentication, and data integrity in transit and at rest.
• Collaborate with business partners, vendors, and internal teams to establish secure EDI and data transfer protocols (AS2, SFTP, VAN) in accordance with HIPAA Security Rule requirements.
• Ensure all integrations and interfaces meet security guidelines for healthcare data exchange.
• Integrate third-party APIs and systems while and ensuring secure transmission of PHI.
• Participate in vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and compliance audits as required by the organization’s privacy and security program.
• Contribute to architectural and design discussions with a focus on security-by-design and privacy-by-default principles.
• Assist in maintaining documentation related to security controls, audit logs, and data handling procedures for PHI.
• Required Qualifications :
• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in C#, .NET Framework / .NET Core, Web Forms, MVC, and Visual Basic .NET.
• SQL Server – Stored Procedures, Functions, T-SQL, and knowledge of data encryption, access control, and auditing within SQL Server.
• Strong experience with DevExpress, Reporting, and Console Applications.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Experience with EDI standards (X12, EDIFACT) and communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, VAN).
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git, Azure DevOps, or similar).
• Demonstrated experience developing or supporting systems that store, process, or transmit PHI under HIPAA regulations.
• Knowledge of secure coding principles (e.g., OWASP Top 10, encryption, input validation, secure authentication).
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and data security issues.
• Preferred Qualifications :
• Experience with
• Microsoft Azure security tools and HIPAA-compliant cloud services (Azure AD, Key Vault, Managed Identities, Storage Encryption).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and secure healthcare API standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7, SMART on FHIR).
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks (Angular, React, or Blazor) with experience securing front-end applications (CORS, CSRF, XSS prevention).
• Experience with ERP, claims processing, or health plan administration systems.
• Understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies with DevSecOps or continuous security integration exposure.
• Familiarity with HIPAA Security Rule, Privacy Rule, HITECH Act, and NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred.
