Position Title : Welder / Utility, Gas Distribution
Rate of Pay is $51.50 - $53.74 (when certified as a Welder)
Location : New Bedford, MA
SCHEDULE : Monday Friday, 7 : 30AM 4 : 00PM

ROLE & SCOPE :
The Welder / Utility is responsible for assuring that all gas construction and maintenance work that is completed is performed in accordance with Company, State, and Federal regulations.
This includes inspections, repairs, and leak survey.
The Welder / Utility is responsible for successfully completing all training, OJT Tasks and examinations as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. High School Education or equivalent.
2. Must have a current welder’s certification or one (1) year of technical school training, or one (1) year of practical experience in the type of welding associated with this position.
2. Must have three years of Gas experience including Welding / Pipefitting experience.
4. Experience working with heavy equipment.
5. Valid Drivers’ License required; CDL Drivers’ License Class A preferred.
6. CDL Drivers’ License Class A required within six months of employment.
7. Ability and willingness to perform heavy physical work indoors and outdoors in all seasons and at times for extended periods.
8. Must have a work history that demonstrates safe work habits.
9Must pass and maintain all operator qualification requirements dictated by department.
10. Must meet OSHA requirements.
