Position Details :
Location : Menomonee Falls, WI (Froedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital) and West Bend, WI (Froedtert West Bend Hospital) - On-Site
FTE : 0.001
Shift : 1
Schedule : Clinic is open Monday-Friday 7 : 30am-4 : 30pm. No holidays, nights, or weekends. Fill in for PTO, sick calls, and FMLA for both FMFH and FWBH in Radiation Oncology.
Job Summary :
The Medical Assistant (MA / MA Sr) is a healthcare professional and an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team. The MA / MA Sr is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patients visit. Responsibilities include :
- Maintaining Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Remaining compliant with all organization educational, licensure or certification
- Cross-training and floating as needed to provide services across sites and to maintain optimal clinic operations

Licenses & Certifications and Educational Requirements :
Medical Assistant (MA) :
Education : High school diploma (or GED) required plus one of the following :Completion of an MA program, orCompletion of an EMT-Basic course, orTrained on the job MA AND one year experience in health care, orCompletion of an MA Apprentice programCertification : American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Providers (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent required within 90 days of hire.Experience : 1 year of healthcare experience preferred.Medical Assistant Senior (MA Sr) :
Education : HS Diploma or GED is required.Certification : American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Providers (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.Additionally, one of the following is required :Military Medic / Corpsman training (must also obtain one of the certifications or licenses below within 6 months of hire), orCertified / Registered Medical Assistant through one of the following :Credentialed in ABR-OE (Assessment-Based Recognition in Order Entry), orCertified Medical Assistant (CMA), orRegistered Medical Assistant (RMA), orNRCMA - Medical Assistant through the National Association for Health Professionals, orCCMA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, orCertified Medical Assistant through the National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE)Certified Paramedic, orAdvanced EMT, orGraduated from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program and current ac
