JOB SUMMARY :
This position serves as the manager for adult education data collection and reporting. The MIS is responsible for the local Literacy, Adult and Community Education System (LACES) data entry, data analysis and management, and serves as a resource for all program staff. This Maryland Department of Labor grant?funded position is budgeted for 27 hours per week for 49 weeks and reports to the Manager, Adult Education.

The work is normally sedentary work which requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Periodically, it requires standing for longer periods of time during presentations or fairs. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required :
WORK ENVIRONMENT :
College campus, direct contact with diverse students, staff, faculty and the general public in classrooms, common and shared areas, office, and campus environments. Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as office, meeting, and training rooms. Use of safe workplace practices with office equipment; computers for data entry and word processing with some highly technical applications and new technology systems; avoidance of trips and falls; observance of workplace and fire and building safety regulations; observance of traffic laws when / if driving a college vehicle; and observance of all College policies. This is a part time position less than 29 hours per week.
