In this role of Assistant Store Manager, you’ll be responsible for co-leading with a spirit of accountability, positivity, and engagement. Role Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Core Responsibilities
- Assist in building an engaged, collaborative store culture where every associate feels motivated to succeed.
- Maintain a sales-first mindset, be a role model to emulate by embracing client engagement, conversion, and incremental selling.
- Lead by example in executing the NIC+ZOE Selling Ceremony to drive loyalty, increase conversion, and maximize sales opportunities.
- Work with the Store Manager to drive success during key selling moments including product launches, seasonal events, and holiday peaks.
- Inspire the team to consistently capture client data and build clienteling strategies that strengthen long-term relationships.
- Train, coach, and develop associates to deliver exceptional service and achieve sales goals.
Store Operations
Ensure merchandising concepts and brand standards are executed with precision and maintained daily.Perform and oversee store opening and closing procedures, including register funds, bank deposits, and securing the facility.Manage all inventory processes with accuracy, including markdowns, transfers, damages, shipping, and receiving, maintaining operational integrity.Skill Set Requirements
1+ years of retail store experience in premium or specialty retail, preferably women’s fashion. Previous experience as an Assistant Store Manager is preferred but not necessary.High school graduate.Excellent interpersonal skills.Clear communication, both written and verbal.Possess emerging leadership skills including the ability to communicate internally at all levels.Stay up to date with current fashion trends and industry developments.Embrace teamwork, flexibility, and courtesy while executing tasks.Proficient in PC based software including Outlook, Excel, and WordSchedule Flexibility
Must be available to travel, including occasional overnight trips, to attend corporate meetings, support marketing initiatives, participate in events, or provide selling support at other store locations as needed.Agreeable to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.Essential Physical Requirements you will perform :
Prolonged periods of standing / walking around the store and stock room.Frequent use of computers, handheld electronic equipment, and cash registersReaching, bending, crouching, kneeling, stooping, pushing, and pulling.Must bend, reach, stretch for product as well as lift, carry and move at least 40 pounds.Hang and fold merchandise, ladder climbing.Operate POS registers and other company devices.Occasionally operate a trash compactor, where applicable.Occasional use of hand truck, lift and carry.
