  • And much more!\n\nPosition Overview : \n\nThe Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a focused 6-bed area dedicated to providing direct patient care for critically ill adult patients, utilizing the nursing process in alignment with established standards of practice and our organizational policies and values.\n
  • Administer medications, collect specimens, and deliver clinical treatments as part of patient care.\n
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all patient care activities.\n
  • Continuously monitor and report on patient conditions, collaborating with care teams, physicians, and families.\n
  • Assist patients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, nutrition, and mobility.\n
  • Work with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care, including transfers, discharges, and psychosocial support.\n
  • Assess the educational needs of patients and families, providing appropriate resources tailored to individual circumstances.\n
  • Act as an advocate for patients' physical and emotional health.\n
  • Be prepared to float to other departments to maintain safe nurse-to-patient ratios.\n
  • Manage ventilators and other critical respiratory devices as needed.\n
  • Demonstrate skills in titrating and maintaining critical drips for ICU patients, including understanding related indications and contraindications.\n
  • Successfully complete a rhythm recognition assessment within 90 days of hire / transfer.\n\nMinimum Qualifications : \n\nEducation : \n
  • Associate's degree required\n
  • Bachelor's degree preferred\n\nCertifications : \n
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire\n
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of hire\n
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 1 year of hire\n
  • Handle with Care training to be completed within 30 days of orientation and annually thereafter\n\nLicensure : \n
