Grants Specialist (Office of Broadband)
The Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Grants Specialist to support the administration of broadband grant programs. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that public funds are used effectively and reach the communities that need them most. The Grants Specialist will work within the Office of Broadband to manage financial and programmatic data, ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, and support the evaluation and improvement of broadband initiatives across the Commonwealth. The Grant Specialist will gain hands on experience with federal and state programs, learn from experienced professionals in public policy, build on their current skillset, and make real impact by supporting programs that improve broadband access throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia. The appointment is to a restricted position, funded in part by non-general funds. The availability of funding is scheduled for review on an annual basis. Continued employment is contingent on the continued availability of grants and non-general funds.
