Allied Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

Work Monday through Friday from 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM

Full-time day shift position with 8-hour shifts

Administer radiation therapy treatments and simulations with minimum supervision

Follow prescriptions and instructions from radiation oncologist

Assist in treatment planning procedures including tumor localization and dosimetry

Maintain accurate scheduling and see patients on or before appointed times

Explain procedures to patients and assess for special needs

Prepare rooms and equipment for use while maintaining safe and clean environment

Document treatment variations and report equipment issues appropriately

Observe radiation safety measures for patients and personnel

Perform accurate documentation and record keeping

Complete weekly chart checks on opposite machine with partner rotation

Must have ARRT (T) registration

Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiation Therapy Technology required

Current Medical Radiologic Technologist certificate with Texas Medical Board required

Current BLS certification (AHA only) required

Minimum one year experience in hospital or treatment center environment preferred

Basic computer knowledge and effective communication skills required
