Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with 2+ years of recent hospital experience and state licensure for a Level III trauma center role.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work setting is a short-term acute care hospital and Level III trauma center with both inpatient and outpatient populations
  • Serve ER, inpatient, and outpatient cases
  • 5x8 hour shifts on a combination of day and evening second shifts, with start times at 12 : 30 pm or 2 : 15 pm
  • Every other weekend is required with on-call as needed
  • Floating may be required between facilities in Connecticut and Rhode Island
  • Uses EPIC for charting
  • Position includes call shifts as needed in addition to scheduled hours
  • Return staff must have a 2-year gap before being eligible as a traveler
  • Pre-start orientation includes one hour of online modules
  • RTO (Requested Time Off) up to 7 days can be auto-approved; more requires approval
  • Free parking on site
  • Scrub color not specified; confirm with facility
  • Flu and COVID vaccination status required prior to start
  • First-time travelers are considered if experience criteria are met

  • Minimum 2 years of hospital X-Ray technologist experience required
  • Connecticut state license required; Rhode Island license required if floating to RI locations
  • National certification as Radiology Technologist required
  • Experience in an acute care hospital required
  • Flu vaccine required; COVID vaccine and booster required unless an exemption is documented
  • Must complete pre-start and annual modules
  • One reference required for consideration
  • License required if applicable
  • Must live more than 75 miles from facility; local candidates not accepted
