Job Description Childcare Teacher
General Summary : Attend to children at Good Shepherd Academy. Perform various tasks such as dressing, feeding, bathing, providing educational activities, and overseeing play.
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Observe and monitor children's play activities.
- Keeps records on individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, meals served, medications administered about activities, meals served, and medicines administered.
- Instruct children in health and personal habits such as eating, resting, and toilet habits.
- Reads to children and teach them simple painting, drawing, handicrafts, and songs.
- Organizes and participates in recreational activities such as games.
- Assists in preparing food for serving meals and refreshments to children and regulating rest periods.
- Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas.
- Sterilizes and prepares formulas.
- Dresses children and change diapers.
- Assists children with homework and schoolwork.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
