Job description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic, positive and knowledgeable Human Resources Generalist / Manager to join our team. This is a hands on role and essential in various HR and payroll functions and ensuring the smooth operation of our workforce management processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of HR practices, including payroll processing, talent acquisition, training development and succession planning. You will play a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment and enhancing employee engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full cycle of talent acquisition, including sourcing, screening, assist with interviewing as needed for all on-boarding new employees and terminations
  • Process timekeeping and payroll for employees
  • Handle and monitor the systems and IT access for designated apps and software as requested
  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings and onboarding new employees.
  • Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance management and communicate major issues to leadership
  • Responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing and collaborate with leadership to ensure accurate and timely payroll disbursement
  • Review and update all performance warnings, memo’s or other employee communication as needed and required to ensure accurate, consistent and in compliance and ensure all correspondences are grammatically correct and professional
  • Work with leadership to develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
  • Oversee workforce management strategies to optimize staffing levels and productivity.
  • Conduct training sessions on HR policies, procedures, and best practices for employees and managers
  • Maintain, manager and monitor training requirements and records for employees as defined by company.
  • Collaborate with management on succession planning initiatives to ensure leadership continuity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement HR initiatives and programs
  • Maintain and update HRIS (Human Resource Information System) for accurate employee records and reporting.
  • Support talent management efforts by identifying high-potential employees and facilitating their development.
  • Handle additional duties and responsibilities for the company and departments as requested, support and collaborate with the leadership team
  • Responsible for cost tracking for HR related costs
  • Assist in organization design projects to align workforce capabilities with business goals.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies while addressing employee concerns effectively.
  • Provide guidance to employees on HR-related inquiries and issues.

Requirements

  • A degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of at least 5 year's experience as an HR Generalist or similar role within a corporate environment. Familiarity in property management highly desired.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems; experience with Paychex or similar is a plus.
  • Strong skills in interviewing, talent acquisition, and training development.
  • Knowledge of workforce management principles and organization design methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
