YouTube & Social Media Creator (Part-Time Contractor – Paid Trial)

Job Description

We’re hiring a local YouTube & social media creator on a paid trial basis to help us produce high-quality video content and ads.

This role starts small by design. We want to evaluate what you can actually produce — quality, speed, creativity, and execution — and then negotiate expanded scope and pay based on results.

This is a contractor role, not a salaried position.

What You’ll Do

• Shoot and edit video content (YouTube, Shorts, Reels, ads)
• Create polished visuals, graphics, captions, and overlays
• Participate in scheduled, in-person filming sessions
• Deliver completed content digitally using your own workflow
• Collaborate creatively while working independently

Trial Phase (How This Starts)

• Paid trial period (30–60 days)
• Smaller retainer or per-deliverable pay
• Clearly defined deliverables
• Opportunity to scale compensation and scope quickly

Requirements

• Proven video shooting and editing skills
• Experience creating social media or YouTube content
• Comfortable working as an independent contractor
• Local to the Seattle / Eastside area
• Able to meet in person for filming and interviews
• Reliable, organized, and deadline-driven

A large following is a plus, but skill and output matter more than follower count.

Compensation

• Initial trial compensation: smaller retainer or per-deliverable
• Post-trial compensation: negotiated based on performance
• Performance-based upside available

There is no cap for the right creator.
