- Must be willing to relocate or live in the San Antonio, TX area. Relocation assistance may be negotiable. Though some of this work may be preformed remotely, you will be expected to be on the job site most days. This project is located in San Antonio, Texas
We are a locally operated mechanical / plumbing construction company that has built a great reputation in the industry over the past 18 years and are continuing to grow. We specialize in commercial ground up construction focusing on high rise, multi-family and hospitality project.
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Plumbing Superintendent to oversee commercial construction projects from beginning to completion. The ideal candidate will be a professional who manages and oversees the installation of plumbing systems in commercial projects. They are responsible for planning, organizing, and directing field subcontractors to ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and according to specifications. They also monitor progress, resolve installation conflicts, and ensure adherence to safety regulations and building codes. Responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed efficiently, safely, and correctly. This role requires strong leadership skills. This role reports directly to the Project Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Oversee plumbing operations; provide direct supervision and leadership to plumbing subcontractors, assign tasks, provide guidance, and ensure efficient workflow on job sitesParticipate in pre-construction and general contractor meetingsPlan and coordinate workflow across multiple project phases. Manage site-specific scheduling and labor distributionLead all daily field operations to ensure proper site safety, construction, progress and qualityEnsure work meets project specifications and codes; accurately read and interpret complex plumbing blueprints, schematics, and specifications to ensure proper installation and adherence to project requirementsStudy job specifications and scope of workEnsure availability of plans, blueprints, material and toolsAssist Project Manager in proactively resolve field challenges, delays, and cange ordersCoordinate vendor deliveries and site logistics, assist Project Manager with material ordersComplete weekly QCsManage and complete daily and weekly logsReview all RFI’s and submittals to ensure correct materials and installationVerify punch list completion ad final closeoutBasic Qualifications :
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in construction management in the plumbing fieldFamiliarity with quality control standards in the construction industryThorough knowledge of plumbing systems, blueprints, specifications, and codesStrong technical knowledge in the plumbing industryExceptional communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to plan and schedule projects to meet deadlinesHigh attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipPrevious experience in Hi-Rise multi-family and hospitality as well as high end podium style or senior living facilities is a plus.Benefits Include :
