This iOS Engineer II role is part of our App Growth team, which is responsible for building exceptional experiences that help users plan, shop, and share trip-related features. We are seeking someone who will drive innovation and scale within the App Growth business. Your mission is to deliver a premier suite of products and services that delight our customers and create an engaging in-app experience, while fostering a work environment where top technical talent can thrive.
In this role, you will :
Collaborate with team members, especially design counterparts, to co-develop and solve problems.
Develop and test software applications using SwiftUI and related technologies to meet design and performance requirements.
Contribute to iOS application development by delivering features that provide value to travelers and drive adoption.
Develop and test standard software applications, programs, and procedures to ensure they meet design specifications.
Apply software design principles, data structures, design patterns, and computer science fundamentals to write clean, maintainable, optimized, and modular code with clear naming conventions.
Prototype basic flows to address customer needs.
Coordinate partner input and collaboration efforts when developing solutions to issues.
Apply formal training methods to your current workload and feel comfortable challenging authority or the status quo.
Understand and apply user-centered research practices.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.
Prior experience as an iOS or Mobile Engineer : 2+ years with a Bachelor's degree. 0-2 years with a Master's degree
Strong proficiency in Swift; moderate familiarity with other applicable languages such as Objective-C.
Knowledge of core iOS frameworks, including SwiftUI and UIKit.
Familiarity with testing and monitoring tools.
Ability to create effective automation and unit tests.
Preferred Qualifications :
Understanding of back-end integration with RESTful APIs; experience with GraphQL is a strong plus.
Familiarity with other programming languages such as Java or Kotlin.
Experience designing and maintaining scalable features using architectures like MVVM or VIPER, and common design patterns.
Familiarity with AI tools.
Experience working in cross-functional Agile teams with CI / CD-powered iOS repositories.

The total cash range for this position in San Jose is $122,500.00 to $171,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $196,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
