Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector (NGDS) is currently seeking a Security Manager to join our team in Hollywood, MD.

Responsibilities :

  • Manages physical security aspects of the facility. Duties include managing and leading Plant Protection operations, emergency responses, serving as Incident Commander for fire and / or medical responses on an energetic facility in compliance with emergency actions plans
  • Manages and leads 20 to 30 Union Plant Protection Officers
  • Administers site Integrated Emergency Control Plan. Updates plan as needed, or annually at a minimum
  • Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying corrective and preventive actions to be taken
  • Studies and implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations
  • Obtains rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies
  • Prepares manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, and keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to restricted records and materials
  • Conducts security education classes and security audits
  • Lead Northrop Grumman, ABL site Physical Security Team, supporting customer success and compliance

Basic Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant Industrial Security experience; may substitute relevant experience in lieu of degree
  • Must have experience working with and leading labor union wage group.
  • Ability to interpret and administer all aspects of a Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • Emergency Incident Command expertise
  • Must have experience working on an energetic manufacturing facility
  • Fire and Emergency Services certifications
  • Experience conducting emergency exercises in an industrial setting
  • Experience using mass notification systems
  • DoD Certifications
  • Active DoD TOP SECRET Clearance with ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) access
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to interact with internal / external customers
  • Knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program (NISPOM)
  • Expertise managing Industrial Security
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Fire and / or Emergency Services Instructor
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal oversight
  • Physical Security management experience, Plant Protection operations experience
  • Experience serving as Designated Government Representative (DGR)
  • Primary Level Salary Range : $97,600.00 - $146,400.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
