We are looking for a Line Mechanic / Forklift Driver to join our team on 2 nd shift (M-Th 5 :
- 00pm - 3 : 30am).
- This person will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance of the aerosol filling lines by providing mechanical support and accurate compounding of raw materials.
- This dual-role position is critical in maintaining production efficiency, product quality, and operational safety across our aerosol manufacturing processes.
- This position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality.
- As a key member of our production team, you’ll play a hands-on role in both mechanical and compounding operations to keep our aerosol manufacturing lines running safely and efficiently.
- Responsibilities include setting up and changing over filling lines, performing preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting equipment to minimize downtime.
- You’ll also weigh, measure, and mix raw materials according to batch specifications, operating a variety of mixing equipment—including kettles and pumps—for flammable and adhesive product batches.
- Ensuring machinery meets safety and quality standards, maintaining a clean and organized work area, documenting production data, and keeping tools and parts in order are all part of your day-to-day.
- This role works closely with both maintenance and production teams and requires strict adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards, including SDS, OSHA, EPA, FDA, and GMP guidelines.
- Education / Experience High School Diploma or GED required, technical training or certifications a plus. 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in aerosol, chemical, or pharmaceutical production.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, with hands-on experience in line maintenance or equipment repair.
- Ability to read and understand batch sheets, schematics, mechanical drawings, SPO’s, and safety data sheets (SDS).
- Forklift certification preferred. (Or ability and willingness to become certified) Basic knowledge of pumps, valves, mixers, and fluid transfer systems.
- Strong attention to detail, safety, and product quality.
- Physical Requirements Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand, bend, reach and work on mechanical systems for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, tolerance for exposure to loud noise, chemical vapors, flammable materials, and varying temperatures.
- Must wear appropriate PPE.
- Preferred Skills Familiarity with aerosol production processes.
- Basic welding, plumbing, or electrical repair skills.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Team player with a safety-first mindset.
