General Practice Medical Director (Medical Director Veterinarian)

Introduction Our client is a veterinary hospital providing care for dogs, cats, exotics, and pocket pets, currently seeking a full-time Medical Director to lead their team. Working Hours / Rota This full-time position aligns with the hospital's operating hours : Monday through Friday from 9 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 : 00 a.m. to 3 : 00 p.m. The hospital is closed on Sundays. The role follows this consistent daytime schedule, with no after-hours responsibilities mentioned. Role Description and Responsibilities The Medical Director will oversee clinical operations while also carrying a general practice caseload. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of clinical experience and an interest in mentorship and surgery. Responsibilities include wellness and preventive care, surgical procedures, and contributing to the development of clinical protocols and team growth. Practice Details This AAHA-accredited hospital is equipped with ultrasound, digital x-rays, digital dental x-rays, in-house labs, and cubex systems. Services offered include wellness and preventive care, vaccinations, spay and neuter surgery, dental care, laser therapy, and end-of-life care, as well as acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. Team The practice is staffed by two DVMs and supported by a tenured team. The environment promotes collaboration and mentorship, with a focus on high-quality medicine and integrative care.
