Quality Assurance Team Lead

Our client, a long-standing and family-owned and operated leader in the produce industry, is seeking a Quality Assurance Team Lead to join their growing company!

Responsibilities :

Develop, enhance, and implement programs to ensure the quality management system meets updated requirements.

Back up the SQF Practitioner.

Analyze data to drive process improvements and support informed business decisions.

Oversee development plans for direct reports and provide training, coaching, and mentoring to direct reports and others as needed.

Leads department goals to align with business strategy.

Represents business and department in 3rd party and customer communication and meetings as requested.

Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent

1+ year of experience in Quality Assurance this time must include Food Safety, Regulatory, and Customer quality.

GFSI Certification required

SQF Certification or understanding

Understanding of recall protocol

Experience seeing a team through new audits

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills

Ability to work overtime as needed; some weekends may be required.

Ability to lift max 50lb, stand and sit for long periods of time, and work in cold environment the facility is 32F at all times.
