We are looking for a passionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our award-winning Special Education team. As a Speech Language Pathologist , your primary focus will be providing exceptional speech therapy services to elementary school students, helping them achieve their speech therapy goals and improve their overall communication skills. Your expertise will guide the development of individualized therapy programs tailored to each student's needs.
Key Responsibilities Include :
- Assessing students' communication abilities and designing evidence-based speech therapy plans.
- Monitoring student progress and providing updates to support the achievement of personal and developmental goals.
- Using age-appropriate techniques to enhance speech, language, cognitive, and memory skills.
- Writing thorough progress reports and adjusting therapy as needed for optimal student outcomes.
- Maintaining accurate case records in compliance with agency policies and state regulations.
- Communicating with families to support scheduling and ensure consistency in therapy approaches.
- Conducting assessments and managing the implementation of treatment plans.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for students.
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to a positive clinical team environment.
- Traveling to home or community settings as necessary to oversee program fidelity.
- Providing mentorship and training to fellow staff members to improve clinical practice.
Qualifications Required :
Master's degree in Speech Pathology or a related field.Active state speech language pathology (SLP) license or in the process of obtaining one.Experience in special education and knowledge of compliance requirements, especially for students with disabilities.Proven ability to design and implement effective treatment plans for diverse needs.Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in relevant technology and software applications.At ChanceLight , we’re committed to more than just a job.
