Overview

The Material Handler is responsible for performing an array of duties such as loading, unloading and transporting materials to and from jobsites. This is considered to be a safety sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Assist electricians during the installation of new electrical systems or repair and maintain electrical systems.
• May be required to obtain equipment certification to operate material handling equipment.
• May be submitted as an approved Bergelectric driver to receive and deliver materials.
• They must be in compliance with state and local codes.
• Must interact with clients, vendors, and Bergelectric employee in a professional manor.
• Using a variety of hand and power tools, helper electricians productively and safely install electrical and low voltage material.
• Duties include cleanup activity, gathering and transporting materials and tools to electricians on the construction project.
