Land Intern - Summer 2026 - Texas Tech

Job Description Summary

Summer interns provide assistance to the land department while gaining valuable experience and insight regarding the inner workings of a land department and the land department's role within the upstream oil and gas organization. Located in Downtown Houston, TX, full-time in the office Monday-Friday.

Essential Job Responsibilities :

• Assist the landmen, land techs and the field brokers with day to day tasks including :
• Assist in-house landmen with mailing out Authorization for Expenditures "AFE" to working interest partners
• Assist in-house landmen with ownership research
• Assist field landmen with title research at the county courthouse
• Assist field landmen with negotiating surface access and road / pipeline right-of-ways.
• Work royalty owner hot line desk
• Assist GIS Tech with mapping projects

• Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
