Position Overview :

As a  Technical Instructor , you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the minds and skills of our students.

Your expertise in gasoline and diesel engines, diagnostics, and repair will be the guiding light that leads them to a promising career in many different industries.

Responsibilities :

  • Inspire and Educate :  Create an engaging and inclusive learning environment where students can flourish, fostering their passion for welding while imparting your expert knowledge.
  • Hands-On Training :  Lead by example and provide practical demonstrations, ensuring students gain real-world experience.
  • Curriculum Development : Collaborate with our education team to enhance existing courses and develop new ones that align with industry trends and advancements.
  • Mentorship :  Guide and mentor students on their individual projects, encouraging them to think critically and find innovative solutions.
  • Safety First :  Instill the importance of safety procedures and best practices to ensure a secure working environment for students.

    • Qualifications :

  • Education :  High school diploma or GED
  • Experience :  3 years of practical work experience in the field
  • Communication Skills :  Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to effectively connect with students and fellow staff
  • Patience and Empathy :  A patient and empathetic approach to teaching, understanding that every student learns at their own pace

    Compass Rose Foundation (CRF) is an 80-year-old Florida chartered non-profit organization that fulfills its mission by governing post secondary institutions.  Steeped in the management of career-oriented institutions, its current charge is the development of trade and technical schools.  Under this endeavor, CRF has one institution within its auspice of control.  Jones Technical Institute (J-Tech), located in Jacksonville offers programs in Automotive, Diesel, Marine & RV Technology as well as HVAC-R and Commercial Truck Driving, Welding and soon to be Network Administration and Security.
