Program Coordinator
COIC is looking for a program coordinator who has a passion for supporting our region and communities. This is a salaried position at $4,575.00 - $7,562.00 / Monthly, DOE and Qualifications. The ideal candidate will have a background in community development, natural resources, local government, and community projects. Desired skills include meeting facilitation, writing progress reports, project management, and grant administration. Direct experience and knowledge of the challenges facing our Central Oregon communities is a plus. The Community and Economic Development (CED) Program Coordinator is a key member of the Community and Economic Development (CED) team, providing project support and coordination, leadership over small projects, and offering technical assistance and administrative support for community and economic development initiatives within the Central Oregon region.

Essential Functions :
Establishes and maintains links between diverse project partners and works with senior staff to identify barriers and solutions for current and future community and economic development projects.
Provide technical assistance to COIC and partners in areas such as project coordination, report writing, small group facilitation, resource development, project research and evaluation, and community outreach and engagement.
Perform administrative support for projects in the form of scheduling, tracking project budgets, creating and contributing grant documents and reports, and other administrative functions.
Present project overview and updates in various meetings and settings, as required, including at partner meetings and at public meetings with the COIC Board of Directors.
Coordinate and lead small projects and initiatives, under general direction from senior staff, including coordinating with contractors and consultants, communicating project updates to stakeholders and staff, and documenting and tracking deliverables.
Attend local and regional meetings for collaborative projects and presentations, as requested.
Develop and conduct public outreach activities and materials for a variety of projects and initiatives.
Develop and maintain effective, harmonious, and reasonable work relationships with others.
Maintain regular and predictable work attendance in accordance with COIC policies.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Demonstrated project coordination skills including the ability to develop work plans, coordinate contractors / consultants, monitor budgets, track deliverables, and support successful project completion.
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks and projects simultaneously with excellent attention to detail; consistently meet established deadlines.
Strong time and information management skills.
Ability to develop and maintain strategic, collaborative relationships with diverse partners and organizations.
Positively interact with and develop relationships with a broad range of community stakeholders, including the general public. Must be courteous and professional and represent COIC in a manner that will maintain and promote the positive reputation of the organization.
Communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, as well as demonstrate public speaking and presentation skills.
Strong technical writing skills and ability to research issues and report findings effectively.
Familiarity with grant writing and grant administration.
Familiarity and experience with basic meeting facilitation principles and practices.
Proficient in use of MS office Suite and virtual meeting applications.
Work independently as well as within a team environment.
Work with complex information, goals, and partner dynamics.
Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle or equivalent means of transportation.
Able to commute to various work sites as needed to perform assigned duties.
Must maintain client and agency confidentiality.
Must pass a criminal background check.
Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as Business Administration, Public / Urban Planning, Economics, Liberal Arts, Natural Resources or other related degree program plus two (2) years of work experience in community and economic development and / or regional planning or related field; OR the equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
