High School diploma or equivalent required

19 years of age

U.S. Citizen

Good moral character

Knowledge

Police communication systems

Computer operations

Public relations

Principles and methods for describing features, including their physical characteristics and locations

Skills and Ability

Operate radio systems

Communicate well orally and written

Record pertinent data and relay through proper channels

Receive all information of a non-police nature and notify the proper authority

Maintain a communication logbook of all police communications

Enter police business on the N.C.I.C. terminal

Handle all radio traffic for numerous agencies

Be able to work under extreme stress of multi-tasking

You may be assigned to other city departments to perform various tasks on an as needed basis.
