Local Contract Nurse RN - Stepdown - $64-66 per hour

Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Stepdown Discipline : RN Start Date : 11 / 10 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Local Contract Stepdown Registered Nurse Location : 1111 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10025 Schedule : Days, 3x12-hour shifts (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM) Responsibilities : Serve as Charge Nurse when assigned, overseeing unit operations and staff coordination. Collaborate with the Clinical Coordinator, Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, or Shift Manager to ensure appropriate use of supplies and maintain adequate inventory for patient care. Identify and escalate any material, equipment, or staffing shortages to leadership as needed. Provide patient-centered, cost-effective care while efficiently utilizing staff, supplies, and other resources. Accurately and thoroughly document patient information in compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and legal requirements. Support efficient patient throughput and flow throughout each shift. Required Skills & Qualifications : Active New York State (NYS) Registered Nurse License Current BLS certification Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cardiology, Telemetry, or VAD (Ventricular Assist Device) care.
