Corporate Controller

Honolulu, HI | Full-Time

Salary : starting at $90K

We're hiring a Corporate Controller to lead corporate accounting operations, internal controls, payroll auditing, and contribution fund processing. This is a hands-on leadership role managing multiple departments and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across all accounting-related functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all functions of corporate accounting, including billing, reporting, and compliance
  • Maintain and update internal policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Supervise payroll audit, collections, and contribution accounting functions
  • Prepare monthly financials, journal entries, variance reports, budgets, and forecasts
  • Review payroll processing, disbursements, reconciliations, and tax filings
  • Support department operations and performance tracking
  • Coordinate audits, insurance renewals, and external reporting
  • Cross-train with related departments as needed

    • Top Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 5+ years of financial and operational management experience
  • Supervisory and team leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and bookkeeping
  • Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and Excel
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA and / or public accounting background
  • Experience with payroll audits, QuickBooks, and tax preparation
  • HR or personnel administration experience
  • Knowledge of Hawaii employment laws
