The agency is seeking two highly qualified candidates for the position of Medical Assistant 3 within the Fulton County Board of Health in the Nursing Services Division. Job Responsibilities

Under broad supervision, performs administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of the physician on duty. Handles front office duties which include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing and coding for insurance purposes. Assists in the clinic by taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination and drawing blood. May serve as a lead worker.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree in a related field from an accredited college or university with two (2) years experience in a related field; or High School diploma / GED and three (3) years of experience in medical assisting; or Two (2) years of experience required at the lower level Medical Assistant 2 (HCT101) or position equivalent.

Situational Reasoning : Requires the ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness, and creativity in critical and / or unexpected situations involving moderate risk to the organization.
