Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg / Telemetry - $2,326 per week at Eastern Maine Medical Center summary :

The Travel Nurse RN specializes in Med Surg and Telemetry, providing patient care in a Level 2 Trauma Center with 411 beds. This role requires at least 2 years of Med / Tele experience and entails working in a fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule, including rotating weekends. The position involves various responsibilities, including remote monitoring and collaboration with healthcare professionals in a trauma setting.

Certification Details

  • BLS
  • basic EKG certification (ability to read / interpret cardiac rhythm strips)

    • Job Requirements

  • RN : 2 years of Med / Tele experience – no exceptions
  • CNA : 1 year - if the traveler has not worked in a hospital setting for the last year, please decline – no exceptions
  • Must get manager approval on 1st time travelers

    • Schedule Information

  • Weekend rotation : every other; occasionally back-to-back weekends – flexibility is key
  • On call? No call
  • Holiday Expectations : no RTO requests at this time
  • Shift times : 0700-1900; 1900-0700
  • Schedule cycle : 4 weeks at a time; will receive 2 weeks in advance

  • CNA (Ratio : 1 : 10)
  • Charge nurse : typically free floating
  • Resource Nurse – Dayshift only, 7 days per week, 12 hr shifts
  • RT
  • OT / PT / ST
  • Hospitalist / Surgeon
  • PA – assigned specifically to this unit 1900-0700; 7 days per week
  • Remote monitoring at nurses stations for Tele / SpO2
