About the Role

Join our team and play a key role in bringing impactful civil projects to life—from subdivisions and commercial developments to public infrastructure. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with engineers to help design site layouts, grading, and utility systems while creating detailed plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. It’s an exciting opportunity to grow your technical expertise, contribute to meaningful projects, and gain hands-on experience with the permitting and development process.

Responsibilities

• Understand project schedules and budgets and work efficiently within project guidelines.
• Possess a basic understanding of principles, practices of civil engineering, approval, and permitting process for civil projects.
• Experience with drafting boundary and topographic surveys, pipe networks, parcels, and subdivisions.
• Working knowledge/experience using Civil 3D and proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• U.S. Army Corps of Engineers drafting experience is a plus.
• Works in conjunction with an engineer on the preliminary design of the site, grading, water/wastewater layout, and storm sewer layout.
• Assists in the preparation of improvement plans, specifications, supporting documents, and permit applications for subdivisions, commercial developments, multifamily developments, and public works projects.
• Performs plan drafting using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.

Qualifications

Education

• Associates or technical degree in Drafting/Design preferred.

Experience

• Typically, 1-4 years of experience is required.

The estimated starting base salary for this role is $30.00-$40.00.
