Fleet And Family Support Center Director
You will serve as a FLEET AND FAMILY SUPPORT CENTER DIRECTOR in the FLEET AND FAMILY READINESS (N9) DEPARTMENT of NB CORONADO. Responsibilities include collaborating with program service managers to address counseling and advocacy service and community support issues, writing policies for a command personal and family readiness program, briefing senior level leadership on the progress achieved toward meeting fleet and family strategic objectives, determining Counseling and Advocacy Service program requirements and resources to provide input for budget formulations, evaluating the effectiveness of existing prevention and family training or workshops and making recommendations for improvement, establishing networks with local community agencies that provide preventive interventions to families, and providing technical guidance, identifying training needs, interviewing and selecting candidates for vacancies, recommending promotions, approving leave, recommending awards and resolving disciplinary issues.
Requirements include demonstrating at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience includes overseeing and facilitating services for the Career Support / Retention; Deployment / Readiness; Crisis Response Emergency Management; Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) programs for a Navy installation to achieve command and mission readiness for individuals and military families, developing, planning and directing uses of appropriated and non-appropriated fund resources to ensure delivery of programs and services provided by the installation, using a variety of qualitative and / or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes and systems, applying knowledge of State, Federal, and municipal human service laws, and programs to serve as a policy advisor to the installation commander in the development and implementation of work life services and activities, and performing supervisory duties such as managing, organizing, directing, providing technical leadership and guidance, assigning and prioritizing work, position management, evaluating work performance of subordinates and resolving disciplinary issues.
