Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a hybrid Emergency Room / Urgent Care position at a new facility, requiring a WA or compact RN license and advanced certifications.
Responsibilities
Work in a hybrid Emergency Room and Urgent Care setting at a brand new freestanding facilityUnit features 8 rooms, including 1 trauma / resuscitation room, a dedicated triage room, and 6 hall chairsApproximately 60% urgent care and 40% emergency-level patients, with an estimated 90-100 patients dailyNurse-to-patient ratio is 3 : 1 for ER patients, with variable ratios for urgent care patientsRNs are required to perform triage as part of their dutiesUtilizes the Epic EMR systemShift options include days and nights, with standard 12-hour shifts and rotating every other weekendNo call or floating requirementsIn-house security is provided 24 / 7Any color scrubs are permitted for dress codeRNs will care for a broad range of emergency and urgent care patient scenarios, including trauma and rapid transfers as neededNo separate psych or seclusion rooms are present in the unitRNs perform nurse draws; no dedicated phlebotomy staffTele monitoring is available with RNs reading strips; no monitor techsFacilities include X-ray and CT available onsiteOrientation includes 12 hours of trainingHoliday shifts follow a rotating schedule among staffFirst-time travelers may be considered for this positionRequirements
Active WA or Compact RN license required at time of considerationMinimum of 2 years Emergency Department experience requiredCurrent AHA certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC, as well as NIHSS certificationExperience with typical Emergency Room RN skills and rapid assessment techniquesReferences : One supervisor reference from the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor reference from the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehireCopy of driver's license requiredBenefits
