Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician position, under limited supervision, performs general building upkeep, equipment inspections, repairs and improvements to our facility.

Essential Functions

1. Perform routine maintenance as assigned, including on building interior / exterior and machines, then logging preventative maintenance checks into the asset management software (QT9).

2. Notify management of necessary building repairs and emergencies that are outside the scope of routine maintenance.

3. Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance on SMT equipment, including solder paste printers, pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, automated optical inspection (AOI) systems, and selective soldering equipment.

4. Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and service manuals to support repair and maintenance efforts.

5. Maintain tools and repair equipment in optimum working condition.

6. Drive to customer sites as needed to make deliveries.

7. Ensure work area is kept clean and free of debris.

8. Adhere to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.

9. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working in a production and office environment. At times, the employee may be exposed to outdoor weather. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and / or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Travel

This position requires traveling locally for errands and making deliveries to customer sites. Valid driver's license is required.
