Payroll Tax Associate
Join our dynamic team as a Payroll Tax Associate, where you will be responsible for managing payroll processes for various clients, ensuring compliance with all payroll regulations, and providing exceptional client support. Responsibilities include processing weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly payroll for multiple clients, accurately calculating wages, deductions, garnishments, and benefits, ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, preparing and filing payroll tax documents, addressing payroll-related inquiries from clients and employees, recording daily financial transactions, maintaining general ledger accuracy, reconciling bank accounts, managing journal entries, generating financial reports, assisting accountants with year-end closing and tax preparation, and supporting the onboarding of new clients and setup of payroll / bookkeeping systems. Essential skills include experience with W-2 and 1099 forms, knowledge of payroll tax payments, proficiency in using payroll software / websites, and strong communication and organizational skills. Additional skills and qualifications include familiarity with sales tax, basic Excel skills, and experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office.
The position is an onsite, full-time role, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Work is conducted in a professional office setting, utilizing a variety of payroll and financial software.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Evansville, IN. The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
