We are seeking an experienced Hematology / Oncology Nurse Practitioner for a 65-day locum tenens assignment in New York. This opportunity begins on Nov 3, 2025, and features day shifts, Monday through Friday, with no call requirements. Responsibilities and Duties
Provide direct clinical care to hematology / oncology patients using evidence-based practice standardsCollaborate with supervising physician, registered nurses, and licensed practical nursesMaintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record, including evaluations, diagnoses, treatments, procedures, referrals, and consultationsPerform approved therapeutic and diagnostic procedures based on patient clinical statusRefer to supervising physician when cases are outside scope of practice or as directedEducate and counsel patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and preventive careServe as a role model for peers and healthcare team membersParticipate in accreditation, compliance, and regulatory activitiesAdditional Information
Must have an active New York NP licenseMinimum 3 years of recent hematology / oncology experience requiredAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications requiredAdult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (A-GNP) board certification requiredAdvanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) certification strongly preferred; board eligible candidates will be consideredBenefits
