About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania. This opportunity begins on Jan 5, 2026, with a 36-day contract and offers a flexible schedule of day shifts from Monday through Sunday, 8am to 8pm. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of urgent care experience or 1 year of emergency medicine experience, and be comfortable treating patients of all ages.

  • Schedule : Monday-Sunday, 8am-8pm; minimum 6 shifts per month required for part-time, 12+ shifts for full-time

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Evaluate and treat patients with cold and flu symptoms, rashes, lacerations, abrasions, sprains, and minor burns
  • Perform wound care and orthopedic procedures such as splinting
  • Refer high-acuity cases to the emergency department as appropriate
  • Provide care to patients across all age groups
  • Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
  • Consistently meet minimum shift requirements

  • Must hold an active Pennsylvania state license and valid DEA registration
  • ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
  • CSR license required
  • Board certification required
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check completed within the last 12 months
