With operations nationwide, they are expanding their team at the Dallas-Fort Worth branch and are seeking a skilled Data Center Technician to support ongoing growth.
Overview
As a Data Center Technician, you will play a vital role in maintaining the smooth operation of a state-of-the-art data center. Working as part of a collaborative technical team, youll be responsible for supporting hardware, network equipment, and facility infrastructure to ensure maximum reliability and uptime.
Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, networking equipment, and structured cabling.
- Perform installations, hardware replacements, and upgrades.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on critical systems and infrastructure.
- Assist in incident response, root cause analysis, and resolution to reduce downtime.
- Ensure compliance with operational procedures, security standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the clients nationwide data center network.
Qualifications
Experience : Previous hands-on experience in a data center environmentNetworking : Intermediate knowledge of networking concepts (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing / switching).Hardware : Familiarity with server builds, racking / stacking, cabling, and hardware troubleshooting (tickr).Systems : Understanding of Windows / Linux operating systems at an administrator level.Monitoring Tools : Exposure to DCIM tools, ticketing systems, or monitoring platforms (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds, ServiceNow).Cabling : Experience with fiber optics, copper cabling, labeling, and patch panel management.Power & Cooling : Awareness of data center environment basics (UPS systems, CRAC units, power distribution).Certifications (desirable, not essential) : CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, CCNA, or similar.Flexible and reliable to work rotating day / night shifts / weekend.Physically able to lift and install equipment (up to 50 lbs).Benefits
