Overview : As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) plays a crucial role in patient care delivery, assisting Physicians while ensuring that each patient receives the best possible support. You will be responsible for providing direct patient care, performing treatments as directed, and administering medications in accordance with hospital policies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct thorough assessments to contribute to a comprehensive understanding of patient needs.
- Assist in ongoing data collection to ensure accurate patient evaluations.
- Collaborate on the development and implementation of personalized care plans.
- Deliver high-quality nursing care within the scope of practice, adhering to relevant laws.
- Educate patients with common health issues, tailoring the information to meet their learning needs.
- Manage patient care tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Respond promptly to patient and family inquiries, ensuring clear communication.
- Inform patients and families throughout treatment procedures to reduce anxiety.
- Utilize medical supplies responsibly, documenting all use and recording charges properly.
- Adhere to attendance policies, maintaining a punctual and responsible presence.
- Administer medications, including IV and blood therapies, with accuracy and care, reporting any adverse reactions immediately.
- Communicate effectively with the supervising Physician, ensuring timely sharing of observations and updates.
- Monitor and identify normal and abnormal physiological signs in patients, addressing psychosocial needs as well.
- Accurately document patient care, treatments, and interventions in medical records.
- Adhere to hospital dress codes and hygiene standards.
- Maintain safety protocols and follow departmental policies diligently.
- Complete required training on infection control and safety procedures.
- Respect patient confidentiality as per HIPAA guidelines.
- Engage in continuous learning and set personal development goals.
- Foster a supportive environment for nursing and healthcare students through mentorship.

Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited Vocational School of Nursing or equivalent.Preferred six (6) months of nursing experience.Current licensure to practice nursing in Texas.AHA BLS certification required within two (2) weeks of hire.Work Schedule :
