Job Opportunity

This job opportunity is not in the classified service and is not covered by the WV Division of Personnel merit system.

This position is for the Wage and Hour section of the Division of Labor. Headquartered at the State Capitol Complex in Charleston, you will be responsible for processing Requests for Assistance (RFA) for unpaid wages / fringe benefits. Greet and assist customers via in-person and telephone and answer questions regarding state law and policy & procedure. Review and interpret state code, procedural rules, and policy directives to make determinations of payments. State equipment will be provided. Occasional travel may be required. Travel expenses will be paid by the agency. Candidates must have a valid driver's license. Travel may include traveling to businesses to review payroll records, company handbooks, interview involved parties, etc. Schedule status hearings with complainants and businesses. Hands-on training will be provided. Accurate data entry into agency databases and reports is required. Perform other duties as assigned.
