About The Position

We’re seeking a Board-Certified Family or Internal Medicine Physician for a locum tenens opportunity at Colonial Heights, VA . This is a client-specific assignment with no call, no inpatient responsibilities, and full support from an established health system .

📅 Assignment Details

Dates : September 15, 2025 – December 31, 2025

Schedule : Monday–Friday | 8-hour shifts

Setting : Outpatient primary care (no OB, ICU, or ED backup)

Patients : 22 patients / day | Mix of adult, geriatric, and pediatric

Support Team : 1 mid-level provider | 3 exam rooms assigned (10 total)

EMR : Epic

No call, no in-house codes, and no supervision required

🛠 Scope of Practice

Adult Outpatient Care

Pediatric General Outpatient

GYN : Pelvic exams, Pap smears

Minor Procedures : Suturing of minor lacerations, I&Ds

On-Site Services : Laboratory & Radiology

Emergency Supplies : Airway, Defibrillator available

✅ Qualifications

Board Certified in Family or Internal Medicine

Active VA license and DEA (or eligibility)

Comfortable seeing all ages in a fast-paced outpatient setting

Must be able to perform minor procedures and preventive women’s health
