Special Education Lead Guide

St. Vrain Community Montessori School seeks a Special Education Lead Guide for the 2024-25 School Year.

St. Vrain Community Montessori School is a fifteen-year-old PK-8 charter school offering a high-fidelity Montessori education in a public, charter school environment. Currently, we serve over 260 students in 9 classrooms. We are the only public Montessori school in the St. Vrain Valley School District. Our school embraces the Montessori values of respect for self, others and the environment. We seek to attract faculty and staff who share these values and model them for our students and our community.

Our school is located in Longmont, CO. Within northern Boulder County, Longmont has over 300 days of sunshine and spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains. Longmont is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, located 37 miles from Denver and 16 miles from Boulder.

Candidate Educational Requirements
-BA or BS required.
-Colorado Teaching license with appropriate special education endorsements to support the position required.

Experience
-2+ Years of working with students in a school setting required. May require experience with working with students with various learning and physical disabilities.
-familiarity with Montessori method of education preferred.
-a commitment to Spiritual Preparation of the adult is essential.

Compensation: $40,000-$60,000 for a 187-day calendar.
